KFC Kaja = Koma

Bucket o ChickenKaja, grub, chow, naw, or whatever you call it was the word of the day around here. Our old colleague, Nadia (see her and her buckets below), made a special delivery of Kentucky Fried Chicken, much to our anxious awaiting as a children on Christmas morning. But she instead came bearing buckets of chicken fit for 3 kings in place of frankincense and myrrh for these Stag Angels.

And now I am left with the food coma that sets in after any ludicrous feast of this kind. Not able to think or even speak. Just blog.

What can I say. It was finger lickin’ good.

New Kit for Kicks

Ever wonder what this motley crew must look like? Well we’ve had a Stagover and I’d like to introduce to you the brand spankin new Stagrepublic blog kit. You can now see all our happy shining faces while you read about the all the joy we’ve brought to all the Stags over the years.

From left to right you can find Helen, Kate, the hugging couple Anna and Szilvi. Atop them Eszter, then Rita and finally our fearless leaders Paul and Josey. He doesn’t look so fearless sporting the hair of our former colleague, Nadia, but don’t get between him and a piece of csirke. It turns out ugly for everyone, particularly the chicken.

Let’s needn’t forget the most prized member of the team, the Pimpmobile. Yes that’s right, pimpin it all over Budapest, one kilometer at a time.

Meet Szilvi Snowshoer

sephia.jpg

Szilvi works here in the office at Stagrepulic. She’s the one that makes sure your checks don’t bounce. I asked her to write a blog entry to introduce herself and this is what she said. Just another day in the life for Szilvia…

************************

Hello,

This past weekend we went to West Tatras, Slovakia, 320 km from Budapest for a snowshoe expedition (hótalp).

climbing.jpgThe trip started at 9:00 in the morning at the bottom of the ski slopes, from there we took the skilift up to the top. From where skiers usually start there downward travels, we started going upwards. After the first 50 metres I knew this was not going be a walk in the park…The hard-core trekking kept us warm, so we barely felt the 80 km/h wind.

It was amazing to snowshoe through virgin snow. All we could see for miles was snow, mountains and sunny skies no civilisation. It took 3.5 hours to get to the top of the ridge. There the wind increased in strength to 100 km/h, so we didn’t stay up on the ridge for too long.shadows.jpg

With snowshoes going uphill is easier in the snow but they make life difficult going downhill. So we had to slide down the hill on our bottoms, which made going downhill easier and of course much more fun!

On the way back we stopped in a small valley and dug a snow cave. It took 2 hours to make a cave big enough for 6 people to comfortably sit and make tea. It was so coooooollllll. After we had the tea we finished the trek down to the bottom of the mountain.

This 7-8 hours on the mountain made us tired enough to fall asleep immediately after re-fuelling on Strapacska.

T-Minus 3,2,1….

Gonna be a short Szia today as there’s lots of work lots of work. It seems like we can’t answer our emails as fast as they come in these days. All I have to say is this is gonna be one crazy spring for stags in Eastern Europe. It’s the only way I get through the long days, knowing the payoff will be sweet come the spring. Some people get by on caffeine, for me it’s the StagDo.

Fact of the Day: Countdown KateGoes2London has commenced. I’m flying-in in 3 days to begin “extensive field research” on original specimens from our target market - Britonius Stagius. Please submit your profile to info@stagrepublic.co.uk if you are interested in participating in the study.

SOHO and so much more…

First I have to start with: I love my job. Life doesn’t get better than this here at Stag Republic. So I just had my “virgin” night with the stags as the guys called it - my first real weekend of Stagdom and their last night of Freedom. It was a beautiful combination. I have to admit that it was my first time experiencing 10 strippers in one day… but I’m glad I can check that off my list of things to do. (I was wondering how I would ever manage to get that one done).

pistol4.JPGWe traded in our morning coffee for a round of shots with a Magnum spitting flames to singe your eyebrows. Without a moment’s waste, we moved on to our private boat rental for aboat-004.jpg scenic tour of the beautiful Danube and the female anatomy, with 8 ladies accompanying us in order to ensure proper window steamage for the voyage.

Then it was onto the Stag Dinner, which to those of you who aren’t acquainted = food, beer, and more babes. Everyone was quite satisfied with the 1st entree of beef and a second of bootie.

soholondonentrance.jpgAnd then finally to end the night (although it really was just the beginning…) the lovely guide -yours truly- accompanied by the veteran Maria led the bucks to the glorious land of SOHO London here in Pest chalk full of drinks, dancing, and local lovin’.

We only ended the night out of demand with the bouncer dragging the stag out by his bra straps (that’s right) with me clinging dearly hoping the extra kiloage would make the difference- but it didn’t. So it was on the street for us sad kids and no where to go at 5:30 am.

All and all it was what you might call a fabulous weekend. I woke up on Sunday (at 1pm) in a panic that it was all a dream, only to smile upon seeing my “souvenir” at the foot of my bed as confirmation.

The best part was-that was only round 1….
