Your local Budapest Guide
We, Stag Republic owners Josey and Paul, take personal responsibility for hiring, training and managing all our guides in Budapest. We carefully carefully select them for their local knowledge, enthusiasm and excellent English skills, although many of them speak several languages (like Dutch, French and German). Many are still in university and work for us part time on weekends.The average age is around 26.
Almost all our guides have studied or worked outside Hungary for at least a couple of months. Several of the guides are taking tourism and hotel management courses and have had placements in the USA, UK, and New Zealand. But, because they are locals, they also know everything there is to know about Budapest nightlife, including:
- where the best value venues are
- where the young, good-looking girls go to party
- how to make the most of your weekend in Budapest
Most guides have been working for us for over a year, so you will never get lost or end up getting ripped off. We train all of our guides to deliver our uncompromisingly high level of service. We also develop their local knowledge of venues, so they know which places we trust.
