It stands to reason that a city with as many beautiful women as Budapest should have a thriving strip club scene. However, many of the city's fleshpots are in the hands of unscrupulous gangsters who love nothing better than to rip off unwitting foreigners. Once inside, you will have to part with serious cash - think hundreds of pounds, each - to avoid a beating. To make matters worse, drunk foreign tourists (that's you!!) are favourite targets for gangs of violent doormen.
Also beware of taxi drivers on huge commissions to take you to some disreputable club - always specify exactly where you wish to go and be firm if you notice that the driver is taking you for a ride. In addition, some clubs are reserved for local stars and politicians. If that's not you, you won't get in.
