Straddling the Danube where East meets West, Budapest has spent the last two millennia being overrun by Romans, Slavs, and then Magyars - the asiatic forebears of the present-day Hungarians - followed by Mongols, Turks, Habsburgs, Romanians, Nazis, Soviets, and, lately, Irish real estate speculators. The result is a bewildering blend of diverse influences and an extremely varied gene pool - which means some of the most beautiful women in the world.
One of the best things to do in Budapest is to simply stroll around the city soaking up the unique atmosphere and historical architecture, and checking out those world-famous girls. The views from almost anywhere along the Danube are incredible - which is why our boat tours are so popular - and if you scale one of the Buda Hills (exploring the Castle District is highly recommended), you will see the whole city sprawled out in front of you. Must-see sights include the Heroes' Square, the St. Stephen's Basilica and the giant Parliament building, but they are just the tip of the iceberg.

Of course, sightseeing is an exhausting business, and most stag groups are looking for less cerebrally challenging things to do. Budapest has all the entertainment facilities you would expect in a modern, cosmopolitan city, with plenty more besides. The city is home to dozens of thermal spas gushing out health-giving, hangover-busting warm water, its own island park on the Danube for sports and relaxation, and Europe's largest music festival, the week-long orgy that is Sziget.
