The capital of Latvia is certainly one to experience, if you’re stagging it in Eastern Europe. Riga has quite a diverse nightlife, so it would be unlikely (or maybe unlucky) for any stag party to have a bad time. There are so many different drinkeries to sample a pint and observe the ladies, you will be in your elephant. Sorry, element! Pubs, courtyard bars, chic dance clubs and fashion arenas can be found throughout the city.
There are high-end, glitzy dance clubs where you can hear (and see!) well-known DJs from across the world. From house to techno, all preferences are catered for and the big bonus is that there are hundreds of absolutely drop-dead gorgeous girls, strutting their stuff on the dance floor! Alternatively, you can get on down, literally further down, underneath the old downtown buildings! Cellar bars / clubs have their own funky vibe, the partying continues into the wee hours, so make sure you’ve got your dancing shoes on…
One One– This is a real treat for those who like alternative bars. The guys who own it are DJs themselves, so only book the top DJs to play at this courtyard bar. Hidden on Miera Street, ask and you shall find!
De Flou– If you want to relax and shake your booty all night, this is a fab club for a good boogie. Great music, chilled atmosphere and sexy ladies, it’s a must for a stag do.
Latvijas Rokkafejnica– Fantastic rock cafe, with live music, concerts and situated in an amazing historical building. A must-visit if you love something different.
Before you go out and get so drunk you don’t know who you are, it’s a great idea to get some good food inside you to keep you going. There are plenty of good quality eateries in Riga, from Japanese, to Italian, Indian, steakhouses and anything else you can think of! You could even add a cheeky stripper to have as a dessert….
Lido Dzirnavas– Fun and quick if you fancy a bite to eat. Great quality food and a mixture of whatever types of food you like!
Restaurant Portofino– A lovely Italian, where the service is amazing and the food even better.
Citi Laiki– Cozy and rustic, the food is typical Latvian. You must try while you’re here, you’ll love it.
Red Fred– Open terrace in the summer, with over 20 types of beer, can’t go wrong.
This are just a small selection of the nightlife in Riga, ask your local guide about other bars and clubs, and of course, strip clubs!
