Aside from the brilliant music, there’s plenty of beer, gorgeous ladies and a once in a lifetime opportunity to see what the Hungarians do very well indeed. You can camp out on the site if you fancy it, relaxing on the grass, drinking and discussing the night’s antics, but you’ll be close enough to visit if you prefer an afternoon or evening at this great event.

Budapest Wine Festival (Buda Castle)

Rounding off the summer is the Wine Festival from the 5-8th September. The sun is usually still shining at this time of year so you can still chill in the sun with a cool glass of wine.

The Hungarian’s celebrate wine every year at this festival. Even if you’re not a massive wine fan, you can sample all types of wine, from white to rose, red to sparkling, you might find one you like! It’s a great way to soak up the party atmosphere, watching some classic Hungarian dancing and listening to the local music.
