You are bound to have heard of Szimpla if you’ve done any research about Budapest. Probably the best Ruin bar in Bud for its unique decor and furnishings. DJs from around the world play here throughout the year. Playing up to the minute house tracks and making sure the place is bouncing, the atmosphere is party central and a spectacle to see!
If you want some dirt and grit as part of your stag do, then try ‘Instant’. Filled with travelling tourists and studenty types, you can let your hair down and wear what you like. There are no airs and graces here. Fogas Haz has been built out of an old dentist’s surgery from the 50s and with some of the original furniture still in place, you could hop in the chair and get your root canal done! Or perhaps not. Don’t want to be going home with half of your teeth missing, do you?? Whatever your stag party gets up to here, you can bet it will be entertaining. Reclining roof. What more can we say?!
For the times when you’re all feeling a little bit delicate and you just want to chill out a while. Having been an old coffee house, it’s not as crazy as the other Ruin bars, you can hold conversations and just take some time over your pint. That is until you’re ready to go again! The food is delicious and worth a couple of hours’ sit down as you ponder your next move.
Gozsdu Udvar is rapidly becoming one of the most improved areas in downtown Budapest. It’s basically a courtyard full of buzzing bars, restaurants and clubs. Gozsdu is popular with residents and tourists alike. One of the bars in the courtyard is called Spiler. This restaurant/bar isn’t for the faint-hearted. Make sure you’re all man enough, or you won’t be allowed in!
