Traditionally, the Stag Do used to be held the night before the wedding, with all of the problems that came along with it – Stag being tied to a lamppost naked, Stag on a boat heading for the Mediterannean, or everyone just being severely hungover and not really enjoying the big day. Thankfully, those days are gone and now the Stag Do is no longer just one night, but a whole weekend of drunkenness and debauchery!
The whole culture of weddings, Stag and Hen Nights has changed in the last 10 years, due to cheaper flights and easily accessible information on various countries within Europe and what they offer for these weekends, the Stag and Hen Party culture has exploded. Eastern Europe has become very popular because it is cheaper than many Western European countries which are now on a par with the U.K!
The Stag Do is now more of a mini-break, where all of the standard activities, like drinking copious amounts and ogling strippers are still done, but now there are so many more activities to try. In Budapest, you can trawl the Ruin pubs, visit the glitzy nightclubs and go to some of the best strip clubs in Eastern Europe. You can take a Party Boat down the river and bring along a stripper if you wish, or drive a Trabant, or have a Spa Day, your wish is our command!
In Kraków in Poland, you can visit many of the open-air venues, watch a concert or just drink in the many underground pubs – the CK Brower pub, which sells its own home-brewed beer, is second to none! In Riga, Latvia, they have a much higher ratio of women to men, so you won’t be competing too much with the other stags! Riga attracts big-name DJs from around the world in some of their amazing nightclubs, the ladies here are stunning!
Budapest is far and away one of the best places to go to for a Stag Weekend, the city, the food, the drink and the people are fantastic. The activities that Stags can do here are limitless and there is something for absolutely everyone; from shooting to sports, to eating sushi off a stripper’s body, you really can’t go wrong!
